What is the scholarship award amount?
Our scholarship awards are at least $1,000.
How is the scholarship paid and to whom?
Directly to your school or training program, not to you personally.
When are applicants notified of awarded scholarships?
We notify all applicants by April 15.
What if I’ve received a scholarship before?
Previous applicants are welcome to reapply each year.
Who can apply for a scholarship?
Anyone living in the Saluda 28773 zip code who’s pursuing education at any level.
What do I need to provide when applying?
Traditional students must submit an application, two letters of recommendation, official transcript(s), and a 300 to 500 word essay. Non-traditional students must submit an application, one letter of recommendation, and a 300 to 500 word essay; transcripts and a resume are optional but recommended.
How do you decide who gets a scholarship?
Awards are based on academic record, evidence of intellectual promise, demonstration of ambition and leadership ability.
What if I plan on attending an online school?
Students attending online programs qualify for our scholarship as long as the providing institution is an accredited technical school or college.
